BATHROOM REFRESH

THE GLAM BATH

The existing bathroom was ready for an update. Its finishes and fixtures no longer reflected the client’s style, but the room offered opportunities to transform rather than simply replace.

KAT Studios reimagined the space with a cleaner, more cohesive design, introducing updated finishes, lighting, fixtures, and carefully considered details to create a bathroom that feels brighter, polished, and distinctly more personal to the client.

DESIGN INTENT: Create a refreshed, glamorous bath by balancing a lighter, more contemporary foundation with reflective finishes, crystal-inspired details, and strategically placed color—while making thoughtful use of elements already present in the room.

REIMAGINED,

NOT REPLACED

The client initially wanted to replace the existing vanity, but its character presented an opportunity worth preserving. KAT Studios proposed a more financially practical approach: transforming what was already there rather than automatically replacing it.

The vanity was physically refinished by KAT Studios in a fresh new finish, while the existing countertop was resurfaced with a custom gray-and-white epoxy treatment. A sculptural waterfall faucet and crystal hardware completed the transformation, allowing the original piece to become a defining feature of the refreshed bathroom.

DESIGN INTENT: Preserve character, maximize value, and create visual impact through thoughtful intervention rather than replacement.

INTERIOR DESIGN

FROM EMPTY ROOM TO GLAM DINING

Beginning with an unfurnished room, KAT Studios developed the dining space around the client’s request for an interior that felt glamorous and visually impactful without sacrificing warmth or invitation.

A round glass dining table maintains an open, airy quality while allowing its sculptural base to become part of the composition. Upholstered seating softens the reflective surfaces, while the circular red rug establishes the room’s center and introduces the bold color the client wanted. Sculptural red accents, metallic details, and geometric wall art extend that contrast vertically, giving the room presence and personality.

DESIGN INTENT: Balance glamour with livability by pairing reflective and sculptural elements with soft upholstery, warm wood flooring, and a disciplined use of saturated red—creating impact through composition rather than excess.
